About Tipping Studio
Our values
01
Care
Care is central to each stage of the design process and involves paying careful attention to both the site and the people who will use it. By understanding what a garden needs to thrive, and how it will be used day to day, we can create spaces that feel considered, nurturing, and lasting.
02
Resilience
Change is inevitable, for us and our gardens. Designing with resilience in mind means choosing plants and layouts that can adapt to seasonal shifts, climate, and everyday pressures. With thoughtful planning, a garden can continue to thrive through change, and support us as we do the same.
03
Context
Our gardens are an extension of our homes, ourselves, and the wider landscape and history they sit within. By responding to this context, we create gardens that feel grounded and connected, with a clear sense of place and purpose.
How it all started
I was fortunate to grow up with a garden that was often full of people, food, and laughter. As I got older, I was able to better appreciate the value these outdoor spaces have in our everyday lives. I studied Geography at university and was fascinated by the idea that we are able to shape the landscapes around us and are simultaneously shaped by them.
After a few false starts in different careers, I enrolled on the Good Gardening course at the English Gardening School and immediately fell in love with all things horticulture.
My aim is to work with my clients to create gardens that bring them that same sense of peace and joy I experienced in my childhood garden.
